Israeli forces raided the town of Qabatiya in the northern occupied West Bank, imposing a curfew, sealing roads, storming homes and deploying armored vehicles, bringing daily life to a standstill. The operation followed an alleged attack linked to a Palestinian from the area. Israeli forces blocked neighborhoods, turned homes into temporary military positions and arrested the suspect’s father.
Palestinians say the measures amount to collective punishment aimed at deterring resistance by targeting communities’ social and economic stability, a tactic increasingly used across the region. Mohammad Elwan reports from Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
