The Israel Defense Forces released graphic video footage showing Hamas attacks on civilians during the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre, directly disputing a new report from Hamas denying that civilians were intentionally targeted.
The roughly 11-minute video, shared on X, compiles previously released footage that the IDF says represents only a fraction of documented evidence from the cross-border assault that killed more than 1,200 people in Israel. Among the dead were at least 348 young people found murdered at the Supernova music festival. Another 251 people were taken hostage into Gaza.
The footage was released days after Hamas published a 42-page document rejecting allegations that its fighters targeted civilians, hospitals, or schools, and accusing Israel of spreading disinformation about the attack.
“These are not allegations. These are documented events,” the IDF said.
According to the Israeli military, victims of the Oct. 7 attack included citizens from at least 40 countries.
