Isiah Whitlock Jr., best known for his iconic role as Senator Clay Davis on ‘The Wire,’ has died at theage of 71. His manager, Brian Liebman, shared the news on Instagram, saying Whitlock died peacefully after a brief illness. Whitlock’s career spanned more than three decades, with standout roles not only on ‘The Wire’ but also on shows like ‘Veep’ and ‘Your Honor,’ as well as appearances in multiple films directed by Spike Lee.
