US strikes on Venezuela have destroyed the country’s military hardware and wiped out its air defences – but residential areas have not survived unscathed.
Damage has been done to some houses and apartments, Venezuelans are stockpiling essentials, and there are hours-long queues at banks as cash is in short supply.
Yanire Lucas, whose home has been badly damaged, described the experience as "terrifying" and said she fears what the future holds.
