Britain is "firmly on track" to meet its clean power targets for 2030 following a record offshore wind auction, according to the government.
The energy secretary said that it was a step towards taking back control of the UK’s energy sovereignty.
However, the Conservatives suggested the party might look again at the new contracts if it regained power.
