Greenland has quickly become the world’s coldest hot spot.
A Royal Air Force plane packed with Danish troops in combat gear landed in Greenland’s Nuuk airport as Denmark quietly ramps up its Arctic presence alongside allies to secure the High North.
Why now? The icy move comes after President Trump doubled down on his claim that the U.S. needs Greenland — and threw shade at Denmark’s ability to defend it. Copenhagen and Greenland say they’re boosting forces to prep for military exercises… but with global powers circling the Arctic, this looks like more than a drill.
