Opposition leader María Corina Machado said she “presented” President Donald Trump with her Nobel Peace Prize medal at their meeting. Trump has long been public about his desire for the prize, and Machado dedicated it to him when she won it last year.
The White House said earlier that Trump stands by his assertion that Machado does not have the necessary support to lead Venezuela.
