Ugandan leader Yoweri Museveni will extend his 40-year hold on power by winning his seventh consecutive election. According to the electoral commission, he won by a landslide with more than 70 percent of the vote. His main challenger, Bobi Wine, disputed the outcome, claiming electoral fraud. Wine has urged Ugandans to protest peacefully. Election observers also say the election has been marred by intimidation tactics.
