The White House is getting major pushback on its criminal investigation into Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, including from Wall Street and many congressional Republicans. According to new reporting from the Washington Post, DOJ officials have been potentially investigating the Federal Reserve for a long time. Late last month, Fed officials grew concerned that the Justice Department was preparing a criminal case against them when they received two emails from a prosecutor working for Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for D.C.
