Israeli forces bulldozed United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) facilities in Sheikh Jarrah, occupied East Jerusalem, as part of Tel Aviv’s broader crackdown on the UN agency.
Israel said the demolition was carried out under a new law banning UNRWA, a move condemned by UN.
Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urged Israel to restore the compound, and warned the crackdown against UNRWA violates Israel’s obligations under international law and risks further escalation.
