Donald Trump has dropped his threat to impose tariffs on European allies opposed to his plans to acquire Greenland, saying he’s agreed to a ‘framework of a future deal’. He also ruled out taking the island by force. The US president made the remarks at the World Economic Forum following talks with NATO chief Mark Rutte. But in a wide-ranging speech, Trump also appeared to confuse the Danish island with Iceland. Auskar Surbakti reports from Davos.
