Israel recovered the remains of police officer Ran Gvili, the last hostage from the Oct. 7 Hamas attack, marking the end of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire and allowing the truce to move forward. The next phase is expected to reopen the Rafah border crossing, increase aid and travel, and begin the more difficult tasks of disarming Hamas, withdrawing Israeli forces, and rebuilding Gaza.
