Jennifer Grey confirms her return as Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman in a ‘Dirty Dancing’ sequel nearly 40 years after the ’80s classic. The project will be written by ‘Dying for Sex’ co-creator Kim Rosenstock and is set to begin shooting later this year. Jennifer, who’s also an executive producer on the film, told ET in 2022 that it’s an ‘enormous challenge’ to make a movie without her original co-star, Patrick Swayze, who died in 2009 of pancreatic cancer. So far, it’s unclear how his character, Johnny Castle, will be included in the new story.
