A man sprayed an unknown substance on US Rep. Ilhan Omar Tuesday during a town hall she was hosting in Minneapolis, before being tackled to the ground.
Just before the incident, Omar had called for abolishing ICE and for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign.
In recent months, President Trump has repeatedly insulted the Democratic congresswoman — including in a speech today — calling her “garbage” and targeting her Somali heritage.
