In France, nearly one in two nurses have reported experiencing sexual violence at work, this according to a new study by the country’s Nursing Council. In 2025, more than two cases were reported each day, but despite this, reporting rates are extremely low. From this year, a simplified alert system will be available for victims.
In Kenya, women are pushing pedal to metal to save mothers’ lives. The Boda Girls are trained midwives in rural western Kenya, using motorcycles to rush pregnant women to medical care. It’s a move to help tackle the country’s mortality crisis.
Also, witch-hunting is India is not a relic of the past – targeting single, widowed or socially isolated women. Many suffer extreme psychological trauma and violence, including sexual abuse. Despite laws passed in several states to stop the practice, the threat persists. Figures from the National Crime Records Bureau show that more than 2,500 women have been killed for alleged "witchcraft" over the last 25 years.
