A winter storm already spreading snow across the Southeast will strengthen rapidly into a bomb cyclone with hurricane-force wind gusts over the next 24 hours. The most snow in 20 years is falling in parts of the Southeast. That combined with lingering icy conditions on roads have already caused hundreds of accidents and slowed travel and deliveries across the Southeast.
