Keke Palmer’s experience as a new mom helped her while on set for ‘The Burbs,’ she explained in an exclusive interview with E! News. In the Peacock series, Keke plays new mom Samira, who alongside her new suburban friends, investigates the suspicious neighbor whom they suspect of murder. And though she isn’t solving crimes IRL, the show gave the 32-year-old—who shares 2-year-old son Leodis with ex Darius Jackson—a new perspective on her own postpartum experience. “It was just really awesome having some space between my reality and the characters,” Keke explained alongside her onscreen husband Jack Whitehall, who is also a new dad to daughter Elsie with fiancée Roxy Horner. “Because it actually was kind of cathartic to see it from the outside looking in.
