Israeli forces struck a three‑storey residential building in Gaza City’s Zaytoun neighbourhood on Friday, despite a ceasefire deal.
The truce, announced in January, followed a year‑long offensive that killed nearly 72,000 Palestinians, wounded 171,000, and destroyed about 90% of Gaza’s infrastructure.
Since then, violations have continued, with 574 Palestinians killed and 1,518 wounded, even as a $70 billion UN‑led reconstruction plan was set to begin.
