Europe is struggling to agree on a unified response to what is unfolding in the Middle East. A meeting of European Union ministers in Greek-administered Cyprus was postponed on Tuesday. Spain has refused the US permission to use its air bases, and Donald Trump has threatened to end trade with the country. Meanwhile, France is mobilising fighter jets, but strictly for the defence of its allies, and not for US military operations. Joel Flynn reports from London.
