Michael B. Jordan celebrated a huge Oscars night, and made sure his co-stars feel the love, even when they couldn’t be there. After winning his first-ever Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the horror-action film ‘Sinners,’ the actor took a moment during his March 15 acceptance speech to explain why fans didn’t see Hailee Steinfeld in the audience. While standing on stage at the Dolby Theatre, Michael revealed that Hailee, who starred as Mary in the film, missed the 2026 Oscars for a very special reason. As he shared with the crowd, Hailee is at home preparing to welcome her first child. The actress and her husband, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, announced their pregnancy back in December. Hailee previously made a glowing awards season appearance at the Golden Globes in January, proudly showing off her baby bump in a peach Prada silk chiffon gown. Though ‘Sinners’ lost Best Picture to ‘One Battle After Another,’ the film still had an incredible night, taking home four awards.
