Netflix announced that Maxwell Jenkins, Abby Ryder Fortson and Tanner Hagen will join Mckenna Grace in the live-action TV remake of ‘Scooby-Doo.’ While the ‘Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ star will portray Daphne Blake, Maxwell Jenkins (‘Lost in Space’) will star as Fred Jones, Abby Ryder Fortson (‘Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.’) will play Velma Dinkley and Tanner Hagen (‘The Pitt’) will portray Scooby’s bestie Shaggy Rogers. In what Netflix described as a “modern reimagining” of the beloved franchise—the first live-action remake of the cartoon since 2004’s ‘Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed’ starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr., Linda Cardellini and Matthew Lillard—viewers will see the origin story of the mystery gang and how the friends meet Scooby for the first time.
