President Trump said he had called Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, General Caine and other senior officials about the threat from Iran, saying that Hegseth was the first to say “let’s do it”, adding that they were now having “really good discussions” with Iran, speaking at the Memphis Safe Task Force Roundtable in Memphis, Tennessee on March 23.
