ürkiye’s Zero Waste Project, launched in 2017 under the patronage of First Lady Emine Erdogan, has become a global environmental movement, leading to the UN declaring 30 March as International Zero Waste Day in 2022.
The initiative now shifts its focus to tackling food waste and strengthening climate leadership, as Türkiye is preparing to host the COP31 summit in 2026.
