A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck the northern Molucca Sea in eastern Indonesia on April 2, killing at least one person, triggering tsunami warnings across parts of the region, and sending small tsunami waves into coastal areas before the warnings were later lifted.
Authorities say teams continue to inspect buildings in Manado, Bitung as well Ternate regions to assess damage and check for casualties.
