In Revelation 1:1a, Revelation is God giving us a picture of Jesus.
Remember, Jesus told us, if we see Him, we have seen the Father. He is the exact image of the Father. Wow, everything God wants us to know and see about Jesus is right here in this special book! That is, the book of Revelation is all about God revealing Jesus Christ.
Why? Because Hebrews 1:3 says Jesus is the exact representation of God.
Jesus said in John 14:9, If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.
The book of Revelation is everything God the Father wants us to know about Himself. Jesus brings all things into subjection so that God may be all in all. Revelation is all about knowing who God really is. To know who God really is is really about seeing Jesus Christ clearly. So the book of Revelation is God the Father, telling us everything he wants us to know about Jesus Christ, so that we know everything that we need to know about our Father in heaven.
