Conflicting reports are emerging about the flow of traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran says it has mapped alternative routes for ships travelling through the strait to avoid sea mines. Earlier, the vital waterway appeared to be closed, with Tehran warning that ships passing through without permission will be ‘targeted and destroyed’. It’s adding to uncertainty around the Iran ceasefire, as the US and Iran are set to begin their first round of talks in Islamabad on Saturday. Andy Roesgen reports from Washington DC.
