Tia Mowry returns to Lifetime for an all-new, ripped-from-the-headlines movie, ‘Single Black Tenant,’ premiering Saturday, June 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Inspired by actual events, ‘Single Black Tenant’ centers on Esme Williams (Mowry), who after years of scraping by, finally believes her luck has turned after landing an affordable apartment in a quiet Cleveland neighborhood. But her relief quickly gives way to fear when she begins to suspect she’s living with a killer who is trying to frame her for murder. As disturbing clues pile up, including her landlord, Angie’s. increasingly erratic behavior and the discovery of blood-soaked rags in a vacant upstairs unit, Esme starts to believe Angie may have killed the real landlord and is setting her up as the scapegoat. With the police refusing to step in, Esme takes matters into her own hands, obsessively piecing together evidence until the truth can no longer be ignored.
