Meanwhile, fighting continues in southern Lebanon, where the IDF says it has killed Hezbollah operatives and carried out extensive airstrikes. As calm has largely held inside northern Israel, restrictions have been eased and schools reopened along the border. At the same time, Israeli and Lebanese officials are holding U.S.-brokered talks in Washington aimed at reducing tensions and preventing a wider conflict.
