Today, I am thrilled to pitch to you a class that will completely anchor your faith in the historical and geographical reliability of God’s Word.

1. The Dead Sea Scroll Proof: The One-Author Wonder
Scripture References: Isaiah 6:1; Isaiah 1-39 and 40-66.
Summary of What’s Covered: We kick off the class by defending the inspiration of the Bible against modern critics. Half of Christendom today claims that the book of Isaiah was written by two different authors because the tone shifts from "doom and gloom" in chapters 1-39 to "hope and glory" in chapters 40-66. But we look at the ultimate archaeological proof: the Great Isaiah Scroll found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. This ancient document—the closest copy to the original handwriting—doesn’t even have a space or a line between chapters 39 and 40; they flow together seamlessly. Furthermore, Jesus quoted both halves and attributed them directly to Isaiah. We will explore Isaiah’s incredible 60-year ministry, dating exactly from the death of King Uzziah in 740 BC to 680 BC.
2. God’s Flawless Timeline: Mastering Sacred History
Scripture References: 1st and 2nd Kings (Contextual backdrop of Isaiah’s ministry).
Summary of What’s Covered: Next, we look at what I call "Sacred History," reminding us that everything happens sometime and that the Bible provides the only 100% accurate history of humanity. We place Isaiah perfectly on God’s timeline: he prophesied during a tumultuous era when the Assyrian Empire was wiping out and deporting the Northern Kingdom of Israel. He warned the Southern Kingdom of Judah in the decades leading up to the coming Babylonian captivity. You will learn how to map out where prophets like Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther fit into the rising Medo-Persian empire right after Isaiah’s time.
3. Sacred Geography: Real Places, Real People, Real Solutions
Scripture References: Isaiah 14:4, 22, 25, 29.
Summary of What’s Covered: Finally, we look at "Sacred Geography"—the truth that everything happens somewhere. Looking closely at Isaiah 14, we see God specifically naming the rising threats surrounding His people: Babylon to the east, the Assyrian expansion, and Philistia along the coast
. But here is the most powerful application: the Bible is talking about real people, living in real places, who had real problems
. Just as the Israelites felt squeezed and terrified by surrounding empires, we face real internal struggles today—our fears, anxieties, guilt, and emotional battles
