The Philippines has been hit by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake which has killed at least 31 people and injured dozens more. It happened off the coast of Mindanao, the Philippines’ main southern island, which is home to around 26 million people. The area is known for earthquakes, but this is the strongest so far this year, sparking a series of tsunami warnings in neighbouring countries and beyond. TRT World’s Victoria Innes reports.
