Anti-immigration protests in Belfast turned violent, with demonstrators attacking homes and setting several fires following a stabbing attack allegedly involving an asylum seeker. Police moved to disperse crowds as fires spread across parts of the city, including residential areas where many homes were destroyed.
The demonstrations began after a 30-year-old man was detained in connection with a knife attack.
