Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they carried out retaliatory strikes targeting US bases in the region. Air defenses were activated in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan.

Explosions were heard across Iran, including in key locations near the Strait of Hormuz. President Donald Trump warned US attacks could resume again later on Thursday if a memorandum of understanding isn’t reached, and he has not ruled out targeting critical infrastructure

CNN’s Alayna Treene reports from the White House, and CNN’s Frederik Pleitgen has reaction from Tehran. Also, Maj. Harrison Mann (ret.) reacts to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s statement about negotiating with Iran through bombs.
