Today, I am incredibly excited to introduce a class that reveals the ultimate prophetic clock for the end of the world. If you want to understand why the daily news is so hyper-focused on the Middle East and exactly how God is tracking the countdown to Christ’s return, you absolutely must join us for this lesson. Let me walk you through three memorable, life-changing truths we will unpack together:
1. God’s Prophetic Timer: The Chosen City
Scripture References: 1 Kings 11:13; Ezekiel 36-39.
Summary of What’s Covered: We kick off the class by exploring the breathtaking truth that Jerusalem is God’s literal clock. While Ezekiel 36 promises the new heart, chapter 37 details the return of Israel, and chapters 38-39 show God defeating Israel’s enemies, all of these events revolve entirely around the fight for Jerusalem. Satan has always wanted to destroy this city because, as God told Rehoboam in 1 Kings 11:13, Jerusalem is the specific city that God has divinely chosen. Just as you set a kitchen timer so you don’t forget something, God has set Jerusalem as the timer for the end of human history.
2. From Ancient Wonders to the Wailing Wall: The Stages of the Temple
Scripture References: Luke 21.
Summary of What’s Covered: Next, we take an incredible historical and archaeological journey through the distinct periods of the Temple in Jerusalem. We look at the First Temple era from the time of David until the Babylonian destruction. Then we examine the Second Temple, rebuilt by Zerubbabel and later enlarged by Herod into a spectacular 40-acre architectural wonder, utilizing unimaginable 570-metric-ton building blocks that dwarf the stones of the pyramids! Finally, we look at the period we are living in right now: the Gentile period described by Jesus in Luke 21, where the temple has been completely gone since AD 70, leaving the Jewish people to pray at the Wailing Wall under the shadow of the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
3. Ground Zero: The Final Siege and the Returning Creator
Scripture References: Zechariah.
Summary of What’s Covered: Finally, we look ahead to the terrifying and glorious future. We will see that a future temple will eventually be allowed to be built by the Antichrist, allowing the restored people of God to offer sacrifices again. This sparks Satan’s ultimate fury, causing all the nations of the world to surround Jerusalem in battle in an attempt to destroy them in what culminates as Armageddon. But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, know that the timer has gone off! Fallen human history will culminate with the Creator Himself descending directly to the Mount of Olives to rescue His people and restore His fallen paradise.
