Summary of What’s Covered: We kick off the class by diving into 1 John chapter 1, exploring what I call the ultimate basis for joy and true fellowship. We will learn how to use the devotional Bible study method to write down a personal title for this chapter, discover key doctrines, and turn them into written application prayers. I will share how you can use excellent study tools like the MacArthur Study Bible, Blue Letter Bible, or Logos software to help you search for these truths so you can ask the Lord to unleash them in your life.
2. The Elder Pastor and the Last Epistle

Summary of What’s Covered: Next, we will step back to see the incredible historical context of who is speaking to us. We are studying the words of John, the very last living apostle. We will explore John’s unique role as the elderly pastor emeritus of the church in Ephesus—a historic church founded by Paul, built by Timothy, and nurtured by John. As the last apostle, John wrote the last of the Gospels, the last of the normal church epistles (1 John) to summarize the gospel, and finally concluded the entire canon of Scripture with the book of Revelation.
3. The Deity of Christ and the Flexy Pamphlet
