In a ’90s-set Philippines, childhood friends Jo (H.E.R.) and Raissa (Liza Soberano) promise to remain close, even after high school graduation. As Raissa prepares to move to the US, though, Jo tries to persuade her to stay — and the two are suddenly transported through a portal to a forgotten island called Nakali, where memories gradually fade the longer one remains. Dave Franco, Manny Jacinto, Jenny Slate, Lea Salonga and Jo Koy fill out the voice cast of ‘Forgotten Island,’ in theaters on Sept. 25.
