Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Pakistan on June 23 at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir for a one-day state visit, his first overseas trip since the US-Israeli war on Iran began in late February. Upon entering Pakistani airspace, the president’s aircraft was escorted by Pakistan Air Force fighter jets.
