3. THE SECRET ROOM & THE OPEN REWARD

Summary: What do you do when you are completely alone, the door is locked, and there are no cameras or listening devices?
John warns that the things we do in secret—when we think no one is watching—are exactly what God sees. At the coming Judgment Seat of Christ, God will take everything we have done in secret and openly reward us for our faithfulness.
4. THE ERASED RECORD & THE GREATEST DOCTRINE
Scripture References: Romans 8:1
Summary: If God sees everything we do in secret, how can we possibly survive His judgment? John points to justification, which he calls the greatest doctrine in the entire Bible. Because of justification, the penalty and the record of every secret and public sin have been entirely removed from us and laid upon Jesus Christ. Because God treated Jesus on the cross as if He had committed all of our sins, there is now absolutely no condemnation for those in Christ.
