Did you know that heaven has a crown for those who long for His return? When God promises a blessing with this book, He doesn’t promise it to those who get all the charts and graphs and timelines figured out. He gives it to those who obey.
So what did the first-century church do with Revelation? They longed for Jesus’ coming. They eagerly waited for Him to come back. When Jesus in Revelation 22:20 said, “Surely I am coming quickly,” the unanimous response was, “Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”
And that should be our response. We should be eagerly waiting for our Lord and Savior to come back, to finish what He started. And He warns us it’s going to happen quickly.
