A Pakistan-registered Boeing 737 cargo plane carrying five crew members lost contact with air traffic control after reporting a navigational system problem while flying from Sharjah to Karachi. Pakistani aviation authorities said communication was lost minutes after controllers attempted to assist the aircraft, which was last tracked about 155 nautical miles west of Karachi. Search and rescue operations are underway, while preliminary flight-tracking data suggests the aircraft may have crashed into the Arabian Sea.
