2. Martin Luther’s Struggle and the Pope’s Chair

Summary of Coverage: We will visit St. John Lateran, the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church during the 1500s, which houses the papal chair used for incontrovertible Ex Cathedra proclamations. In 1510, Martin Luther came here burdened by his own sinfulness. We will follow his journey to the neighboring Santa Skala church, where he climbed 28 steps on his knees seeking forgiveness through indulgences, only to realize that these traditions completely contradicted the Bible’s teachings on grace.
3. The Three Pillars of "The Just Shall Live by Faith"
