The scramble to choose a new Democratic nominee in the Maine senate race took a brutal turn last night on the debate stage, as several candidates apparently struggled to answer why they would be qualified to be a senator.
The most toe-curlingly awkward response came from Ashley Webb, who included being a song writer as one of her leading qualifications in a stumbling response.
