A 771-foot-long German bridge built in 1971 was demolished on July 19, with dramatic aerial and ground footage capturing the structure collapsing into the valley below. The Ottfingen Valley Bridge near Wenden, which was part of the A45 motorway, was brought down as part of a replacement project for a newer structure. The bridge stood about 98 feet above the valley and was removed after more than five decades of service.
