The widow of a police officer who was killed while on duty has said it is "deplorable to me that we have reached a point where releasing prisoners early is even considered acceptable".
It follows the revelation that one of the killers of PC Andrew Harper could be eligible for early release from prison.
Andy Burnham has said he will ‘review’ the government’s prisoner early release policy, a pledge Sky’s correspondent Mollie Malone says is as "vague as it is massive".
