At least 46 people have been killed and more than 100 injured in floods across Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and Afghanistan’s northeastern Nuristan province over the past three days, according to disaster management authorities in both countries.
Afghanistan and Pakistan are among the countries most vulnerable to climate crisis, with intensifying floods, droughts, glacier melt and water shortages putting millions at risk, said experts.
