    China Blasts Philippine Boats With Water Cannons In Second Round of Attacks

    The Philippine Coast Guard accused Chinese vessels of firing water cannons at government boats near the disputed Scarborough Shoal for a second consecutive day. Officials also said a Chinese coast guard ship came within about 23 feet of a Philippine fisheries vessel, calling it a serious collision risk, as tensions continue to escalate in the South China Sea.
