Elizabeth Smart is holding onto the belief that Nancy Guthrie might return home. While the activist—who was kidnapped and held captive for nine months when she was a teenager in 2002—is "heartbroken" that ‘Today’ show host Savannah Guthrie’s mom has not been located after more than 170 days since she went missing, she has not given up on the case. "I would remind people that we don’t know all the details," Smart shared in an exclusive interview with E! News. "I certainly hope that the investigators have more details than we do, and I certainly hope that they’re making more progress." The 38-year-old continued, "I want to remind people that there isn’t a body, so there is still reason to have hope that she is alive and that we shouldn’t give up until we find her." Smart also urged the public to "have all the compassion and grace for the entire Guthrie family" during this difficult chapter. Smart’s new podcast ‘The Survivor Files’ premieres Aug. 17 on iHeartRadio. Full Story: https://www.eonline.com/news/1434323/elizabeth-smart-speaks-on-nancy-guthrie-case-message-to-savannah-guthrie
