Instagram Nuked This Feature After Only 3 DAYS

Did Meta actually think we wouldn’t notice this? 🫣

Recently, Meta rolled out a new image-generation feature called Muse Image. On paper, it was pitched as a creative new AI tool. In reality, it turned into a massive privacy and safety concern overnight.

By default, the feature automatically opted in public accounts, allowing anyone to simply @ a handle and use Meta AI to generate entirely new images using that person’s likeness with NO permission required.

Unsurprisingly, after immense backlash from users, privacy advocates, and talent agencies, Meta pulled the feature just three days after launch.

But this whole ordeal leaves us with a pretty big question… did Meta genuinely not anticipate this backlash, or was this a calculated move to get eyes on their new AI model?

Let me know which one you think it is in the comments. 👇
