Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez thanked Palestinian Layan and the local artists in Gaza who painted a mural of him in thanks for Spain’s solidarity with Palestine amid the devastation of Israel’s genocidal war.
In a video message, Sanchez said he was deeply moved by the gesture and expressed solidarity with Gaza’s children and their families.
He said the people of Spain "hear you, see you, care about you, and do not forget you," while voicing hope that Gaza’s children will soon be able to live and study in peace.
