The “There Goes My Baby” singer booted a female fan offstage during his and Chris Brown’s R&B Tour concert stop in Nashville on July 25 after she didn’t match his sultry energy. In a video shared to Instagram by @malaysiarosee, the fan was invited onstage to be serenaded by the shirtless Grammy winner while sitting on a bed. At one point, Usher appeared to encourage the fan to lie back on the mattress, but she signaled her discomfort by attempting to stay upright. In response, the “Confessions Pt. 2” artist addressed the audience and said, "I don’t think she wants to be on the stage," before walking away and motioning for her to exit. The fan later responded to criticism over her reserved reaction, arguing that no one would turn down the opportunity to join Usher onstage if offered. She went on to explain that she originally attended the concert with her mom from floor seats before being moved to the VIP section without explanation.
