As firefighters in France and Spain race to bring huge wildfires under control before the next heatwave hits, European leaders are warning that the coming days will bring unprecedented challenges. France’s President Emmanuel Macron said the country was facing a "completely unprecedented wildfire" – the "toughest since World War Two". And with EU officials suggesting the wildfires could still be burning until early November, we ask DW correspondents in France and Spain if Europe has lost control of these blazes.
